23 Weeks!

Time flies when you're having fun....  I guess this has been "fun" so far.  No complaints, no aches and feeling good.  I guess I'll take it! 

According to Babycenter.com here is how BB is developing this week:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.


Yes, BB likes music.  While I jam in the car on the way to and from work BB gives me lots of kicks to let me know he likes my choice in music.  I guess that's a good thing but once he is actually here I will have to tone it down and listen to more radio stations than XM which are not edited for children's ears.

For all my savvy shoppers I am on the hunt for this lamp or something that resembles it:

This lamp retails at $375 dollars and is so not in the budget.  I have my friend Shannon on this as well and she even mentioned making it.  I have no idea how you would do that but I am fine with her trying to figure it out (thanks, Shannon!)  I like the white, classic look of it but what I love most is that it is a giraffe and would match his friend "G."  Let me know if you see anything like it at about 1/6 the cost!
