Employed!

I learned last week that I will be an Academic Specialist at Radford University. The position is housed in the Student Support Services office and it a program for first generation college students; I could not be more thrilled with this opportunity! Although this job will not be working with student-athletes, I feel that it will be an easy transition for me and will also give me another perspective into student affairs at a University.

Radford is located about 25 miles from where we are living which will
be a slight change from our 4 mile commute in Buffalo. Luckily it is mostly all highway and took me just over 20 minutes to get there (thanks to the 70 mph speed limits.)

I start on the 25th- one more week of vacation and then I'm back in the office working with students!
