What is this I am up to?

I am on a mission to achieve my fitness goals this year and it begins NOW.   As a former collegiate athlete, I have struggled for the past 9 years (since retirement) to find a program that I can not only stick to, but also gain the results I so desire.

When I got pregnant in November of 2011, I was at my heaviest weight I have ever been, 148 pounds.  In college I hovered between 135-140 but I was solid muscle.  This body of mine is more like squish then anything else and I am determined to get myself back to a place where I feel great about my body.

Pregnancy was kind to me and I only gained 18 pounds.  All of which quickly came off, and with the help of breastfeeding, I managed to lower the number on the scale to 137.  However, I had no muscle tone and I was certainly not in shape.  Pure calorie burn, and trying to eat healthy is all this was.

So here I am, back in the low 140's and eager to get my butt in shape.  I want to set a great example for Brody, but mostly I want to feel great about my body again.  I am a very goal oriented and I have a plan.  This, my loyal reader I will share with you in due time.  I have began my journey and after 5 days (yes, it's only been a week) I feel amazing!  Energized, sore from working out, (I am the weirdo who craves this feeling) and I find myself having such a positive attitude.

This is embarrassing but I will post pictures of my progress because I need you all to help keep me going!  Can you tell I am a person who strives for accountability?

I will keep you in the dark a little longer, but I promise, after I have some numbers, measurement, and (gulp) photos to share at the end of week 1, I will post again with more details.
