Another week down and one week closer to meeting BB! I had my 30 week appointment on Tuesday and everything is still looking good. I have gained an additional 2.5 pounds and this brings the grand weight gain to 17.5 lbs so far. My blood pressure continues to be normal which is great news because high blood pressure can be bad in pregnancy (and in general.) Dr. Z measured my belly and I am measuring exactly where I need to be at this point in the pregnancy. It was a super quick appointment and my last "normal" appointment before I begin Non-Stress Tests twice a week. Luckily I have a very flexible and understanding supervisor at work because it was super challenging to schedule all of these appointments. The tests need to be no more than 72 hours apart so I either need to go Monday/Thursday or Tuesday Friday. If I get an irregular result or something that Dr. Z does not like the look of I will either be sent to labor and delivery or come back in 24 hours for a repeat Non-Stress Test. Again, all preventative and I am grateful to have such great medical care (and insurance for that matter)! At my next appointment I will also get another peek at BB via ultrasound. Maybe she'll treat me to another 4D image =)

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

In other news, we got the keys to our new place and can start moving in next week! We actually brought over a load of baby stuff that was emptied from the new car last night. It is being stored in the basement because they are shampooing the carpets Friday. Although I am dreading the moving process, it will be so worth it once we are in and unpacked. I cannot wait to be settled and set up BB's nursery!
Oh my goodness for you to be moving this week!! You look amazing and I am so happy that you guys got away to the beach because times like that are going to be much different with BB on board! I am not sure where to vote - but I say : It's a Boy. *is this totally too late?
